It had been more than 1.5 years since Mozilla QA Bangladesh Community visited Gono Bishwabidyalay. So, we planned to organize an event here in December last year. Unfortunately due to change in their exam schedule, we had to cancel. Last Saturday, we organized this long due event in Gono Bishwabidyalay campus in Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka which started at around 10AM.
This event was focused on introducing Mozilla, its mission, how to contribute in Mozilla and contributing in Mozilla through QA. As always Ikram vai started with Introducing Mozilla, why Mozilla exists and what it does and why. He talked about how Mozilla is working tirelessly to keep the Internet open, secure and free for everyone.
Then, I discussed about contributing in Mozilla through different pathways like writing code, sumo, QA, MDN, localization etc.
After that, I Tanvir Rahman vai started his session on introduction to QA and then the others introduced the participants to testing features. Check the whole session list below.
Session list:
- Intro to Mozilla
- What can I do for Mozilla?
- Intro to QA
- Intro to Testing & Intro to Test Cases
- Firefox’s Channel
- Firefox’s New Profile
- What is a Bug
- Bug’s Life Cycle
- Demonstration of Few Bugs
After the sessions were over, we took a group photo with all the participants.
That’s all for today. Until next time…
